Texas A&M Archery

Texas A&M University has fielded a nationally recognized archery team since 1977. With 23 national team championships (1996–2006, 2010–2019, 2021, 2024), the program ranks among the most successful in collegiate archery. The team's sustained excellence attracts top talent from across the United States.

As a student organization and Sports Club, the Texas A&M Archery Club is dedicated to developing champions both in the classroom and on the range. The program has produced:

  • Hundreds of Collegiate All-Americans and Academic All-Americans

  • Numerous national and world medalists

  • Five Olympians, including a silver and bronze medalist at the 2000 Olympic Games

The club trains at state-of-the-art facilities, among the best in the nation, which support year-round outdoor practice and host national-level tournaments. Flexible access allows student-athletes to train nearly any time their schedules permit.

Texas A&M’s archery program offers more than competition – it provides a pathway for growth, leadership, and lifelong achievement.

James Madison University Archery

James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, is one of the most successful club sports teams on campus and has been a competitive program since 1965, marking an unbroken 60-year run. The team has produced over 60 All-Americans, multiple World Collegiate and Youth Champions, and earned a Silver Medal in 2012.

As a recognized club sport at James Madison University, we prioritize both competition and inclusivity. Each fall, the team welcomes all students, regardless of experience, and offers instruction focused on skill development with a pathway toward competitive archery for those who are interested.

Our current travel schedule includes the Lancaster Archery Classic, Virginia State Indoor Championship, USA Archery Indoor Nationals (hosted by JMU), the East Region Collegiate Championship (also hosted by JMU), and the USA Collegiate Target Nationals. Additional events may be added based on schedule availability.

Above all, academic success remains our top priority. Archery comes second, but we believe excellence starts in the classroom.

Support from the Lancaster Archery Foundation, through grants and scholarships, has enabled us to recognize student achievement and leadership. These funds have been instrumental in helping students, especially those from out of state, manage tuition and stay committed to the program.
